A country that I would like to visit: Denmark


It’s hard for me to decide what country I would like to visit, because I would love to travel all around the world. But these last couple months I’ve been thinking a lot about Denmark. I have seen a lot of this country in TV cultural shows, and movies like The Danish Girl. I would love to travel around the country and see all the beautiful landscapes that the country have. Also, I’d like to know the local people and their culture, which I think that it’s really different from Latin-American culture.

I’m not sure though if I would like to study there, because I don’t know any Danish and I think it’s a really hard language to learn, but maybe I would like to work there and to stay a few months in the Nordic country. Also, it’s in Europe so every country isn’t that far and you can travel a lot :P.

Actually, I don’t know anything from Denmark, but maybe that’s what it makes it so interesting. Even though, I have a friend over there, so maybe she can help me out and stay with her.

Blog 7: Food

When it comes to food it’s really hard to me to choose, but I think that one of my favorite is Pastel de Choclo. I didn’t know how much I liked this dish until I came back from my exchange year. That summer of 2016 I probably ate more Pastel de Choclo than I have ever eaten in my life. Sadly, you can only eat this dish in the summer because is the best season for corn :(. Actually, I didn’t really like it because I didn’t like corn that much, but I remember once I went to my grandmother’s house and she cooked Pastel de Choclo for lunch and it was DELICIOUS!   (she cooks soooo good). My mother cooks well too, but my grandmother cooks better (sorry mom). I’m not bad at cooking but I can’t prepare this dish because I don’t know how to cook the bottom part called Pastelera. Blog 8: Summer Plans

It seems like this year we’re going to have three months vacations, so I will have a lot of time to do nothing in my bed and watch some films and series hehe, but I’m also planning with my friends to travel to the south of Chile. My original plan for this summer was to save a lot of money and go back to France to meet all the friends and family I’ve made a few years back. I also thought of travelling around Europe and visit places that I couldn’t visit before. Sadly, I didn’t save the money, and neither did my friend who I was planning to travel with :( , so maybe we’ll do it next summer. Anyways, this year I’m planning on working maybe a month or two, don’t know where but I just want to make enough money so I can go on with my plans uWu. With some friends, we are planning to go to the south of Chile, specifically to the Carretera Austral which is known for its beautiful landscapes. Blog 6: Postgraduate studies

I have always say that I would like to do some postgrads, but now that I have to write about it, I don’t know what subject I want to study. Despite of this, I think I have some ideas. A subject that I’m interested on study is films and audiovisuals, so maybe I would like to study something about the impacts and meaning of images or visual things. Here in ICEI, we’ve done some courses about this and I truly enjoy them. Also, it seems very interested to me because nowadays we’re constantly exposed to images and they all have their own messages. Other subjects that I’m interested on learning is culture and digital medias. The last one seems very important to me, because at this time almost everything is on the internet, and is how medias are working.
